January – February 2018
Boronia Town Centre
As one of our oldest suburbs, Boronia faces many challenges as it adapts to cater for its existing and future communities. In recognising this need, Knox Council has initiated the Boronia Renewal Project (BRP) which has now been up and running for some months. This project takes a comprehensive planning approach for the growth of Boronia and sets a long term vision for the next 20 years.
In the early stages of this process Council gathered a substantial amount of data about the area and has prepared a Social Demographic and Economic Profile. Although this information is directly useful to Council, there is also value in sharing it with others to assist in service forecasting. Council now wants to share this information with stakeholders.
The assortment of infrastructure, facilities and services delivered in Boronia are owned and managed by a variety of agencies and Council is proposing to hold a series of theme based workshops in late January and February 2018 to discuss the impact of the forecast population growth and other changes with key stakeholders.
As you or your organisation have been identified as having a connection with Boronia you are invited to register your interest in attending one of these workshops.
Knox Council will be sending an information package early in the new year.
