The I.P.D.P program was introduced in 2010 as a ‘pilot’ to identify players that have the skills/attributes to play representative basketball and to contribute to the continuous development of Knox Basketball, at the ‘grass roots’ level.
Players are “identified” from Raiders appointed Talent Identification Officer (TIO) who scouts domestic games, school holiday camps and the like. Identified players are then invited to attend I.P.D.P sessions running from March through to August each year.
Nominations are also sought from domestic clubs and those nominations are evaluated and invitations extended.
The program is curriculum based with an emphasis on developing/enhancing fundamental skills, whilst preparing players who wish to try out for Knox Raiders.
Our coaches are Knox Raider coaches, D-League and SEABL players.
