The Knox Raiders Senior Men are excited to announce the signing of Damon Heuir for the 2019 NBL1 season.

The 27 year old 6’3″ guard joins after playing the 2018 NBL NZ season with New Zealand’s Nelson Giants, just missing out on making the grand final.

Before crossing the ditch, Damon played four seasons with the Cairns Taipans 2014 and attended Southern Utah University from 2009 – 2013

“I’m extremely excited to be coming to Melbourne and playing in the new competition. I’m grateful for Dmac and the Knox Basketball Association for making me feel welcome and I’m just keen to get out there and start playing” says Damon.

Head Coach Darryl McDonald said “Damon is a very good scorer, shoots the 3 well as well as being a good defender. After playing at the highest level in Australia, I will be looking for him to be a leader for the season ahead”

You can catch Damon in the Senior Raiders Men in their first game of the 2019 NBL1 season on March 30th at State Basketball Centre.
