Knox Basketball continue to bolster their coaching stocks, with the latest signing being former Big V Coach of the Year Paul Graham. Graham will lead the Raiders Youth Championship Women in the 2020 Big V Season.

Paul has spent the past two seasons as Big V Division 1 Women’s Head Coach at Chelsea, where he led them to a 3rd place finish in 2019. He previously won a Big V Championship in 2013 with the Sandringham Sabres (now Southern Sabres), a year in which he was also named Big V Youth Championships Women Coach of the Year. Following this success, in 2014 Paul was named SEABL Head Coach for Sandringham.

As Raiders Head Coach, Paul hopes to build a strong culture in the team.

“I help motivate players to work as part of a team whilst setting and achieving personal goals,” said Graham. “I want my players to enjoy playing the game of basketball, to feel challenged, to develop leadership skills and to be role models.”

There will be a strong focus on development this season throughout the whole Raiders program, and Knox Basketball Director of Basketball Operations David Ingham believes Paul is the right person to achieve this.

“Paul comes with a wealth of experience and success, but he has also shown to have a clear focus on improving each player individually and as part of the team,” Ingham said.

With a number of young talented females coming through the Raiders program right now, Graham will play a very important role in the association.
