Following Rebecca Ott’s announcement last week, we’re excited to add another two Knox Juniors to our NBL1 squad for 2020, this time on the men’s team. Exciting point guard Malik Meunier and lockdown defender Dylan Hare will be returning as part of a strong core at the Raiders.

NBL1 Men’s Head Coach Dom Linossier describes Malik as an “exciting future talent” of the Raiders program.

“Malik is a playmaker with the capacity to impact games at both ends of the floor,” continued Linossier. “We’re looking for him to grow into the role that he has earned and really grab this opportunity.”

Dylan Hare is coming into 2020 raring to go, following a year where he was sidelined with injury. After moving to the bench as a coach for 2019, he’s ready to show what he provides on the floor once again.

“Dylan is the core of who we are as a basketball club: competitive, relentless and disciplined,” said Dom. “His leadership and defensive lockdown ability will be key for us.”

Beyond the talent both of these players possess, having athletes that have developed from Knox juniors into Knox seniors is a core aim of this association. Coach Linossier shares this sentiment.

“Malik and Dylan are prime examples of junior pathways working for those who apply themselves not always first team players, not always the most talented, but have earned all they’ve had.”

“We are unbelievably excited to grow this pathway and Knox fans can look forward to seeing their Raiders role models shining on the floor in 2020.”
