The Knox Raiders have made another splash leading up to the 2020 NBL1 season, signing Adelaide Lightning big Chelsea Brook. The 21 year old suited up for Eltham during the 2019 NBL1 season, averaging 13 points per game and 7 rebounds per game, as well as a few assists.
Raiders women’s head coach Kennedy Kereama is excited by the versatility Brook brings to the team.
“Chelsea is a high character person that will bring good length and size to the team. She is a hard-working forward that sprints rim to rim, is a good finisher around the basket and has the ability to stretch the floor with her perimeter shot.”
In the current WNBL season, Brook is shooting an efficient 49% from the field and 45% from three. However, it’s not just on offence where Brook will provide value. Chelsea’s size allows her to guard any centers, but she moves well on the perimeter as well, providing versatility on that end of the floor.
Chelsea joins Rebecca Ott as the first announced group of Raiders NBL1 Women’s players for 2020.
