Knox Basketball is delighted to announce the latest Life Member inductees from last night’s Annual General Meeting.

Roslyn Aumann - Inducted in 2020 but unable to receive her award due to COVID was last night presented her Life Membership award.

Ros Aumann has been an active member of KBI for over 30 years, actively involved in numerous facets of KBI, but predominately supporting our kids over three (3) decades.  That support has not only been for the junior domestic players who have come and gone over the years, but also involves the referees, coaches, team managers & parents who have dealt with Ros during that period.  

Geoff Jones - Inducted in 2022 at the Annual General Meeting on 24th of May.

Geoff has been an integral part of the KBI community for 30+ years and a true definition of the term “Volunteer”. Over his time at Knox, Geoff has held many volunteer positions including Junior Domestic Committee Member, Junior Domestic Grade Secretary as well as Tribunal Member and Chairperson. The countless hours Geoff has given to the community has not gone unnoticed and we’re pleased to award him with Life Membership.

David Phillips - Inducted in 2022 at the Annual General Meeting on 24th of May.

David is another member of the KBI community that has given so much to our Association in so many different ways. From a Junior Domestic Club volunteer, David was President of the Saints Basketball Club for 5 years as well as long term committee member. Our Junior Clubs are the lifeblood of our Association and their committees are what keep our community playing week in and week out. David was a member of the Junior Domestic Committee and Tribunal Member. More recently, David was a KBI Board Member for the Knox Junior Raiders Program, again showing that at his core David cared most about our kids playing the sport they love.

Life Membership of Knox Basketball is awarded to someone that has served our Association extensively and contributed to KBI in a ranges of areas. Without their ongoing service, we would not be the Association we are today.
