KNOX BASKETBALL | NBL1 CLUB OF THE YEAR - 2022

What a year it was for the Knox Raiders NBL1 teams in 2022! It was the first uninterrupted season since 2019 and we had a fantastic season!!

2022 saw the Knox Raiders receive Club of the Year at Friday’s NBL1 South Awards night. This award is a testament to the incredibly hard work that so many people have contributed to. From all the players, coaches, team managers to sponsors and staff, we put on such an incredible night of entertainment at every one of our home games at the State Basketball Centre.

We ran a multitude of activations throughout the season, along with free tickets to ALL Knox Basketball Members. We also ran a Member Lottery which jack-potted to the maximum $10K and was won by Scott Coy from the Saints Basketball Club.

Knox Basketball also had the highest crowd attendance out of any of the other 18 NBL1 Clubs over the course of the 2022 Season, highlighting the support from all the Knox Basketball Members to the program.

Knox Basketball CEO Grant Harrison says;

“What an amazing NBL1 season with massive crowd numbers of 22,304 patrons attending just 11 home games, an average of 2028 spectators per game. We wanted to provide our members with an enjoyable, fun, and cost effective experience whilst giving our NBL1 players a wonderful atmosphere to play under, which I know they are truly grateful for.  Thank you to all those who attended our games, this NBL1 South Club of the Year Award is for all of you”.

Thank you to each and every Knox Basketball Member (Players, Parents, Domestic Clubs & their Committees, Life Members, Referee’s, KJR Committee), without the incredible show of support from you all we wouldn’t have been able to make this season as successful as it has been.
