We want every player to have the best possible pathway into Knox Raiders basketball.

Please read the descriptions below carefully and register for the option that best matches your current playing position and experience.

Step into Rep

For: Players who have never played VJBL and are currently playing in the Knox Domestic competition.

This program helps new players take their first step towards representative basketball.

• During the program, players will be evaluated by our coaches.
• Suitable players will be invited to register for the Raiders Try-Outs for the 2026/27 VJBL season.

For Under 12 (2016/2017/2018) & Under 14 (2014/2015)

For Under 16 (2011/2012) & Under 18 (2009/2010)

Please note: Unfortunately, if you do not play in the Knox domestic competition you are not eligible for our Step into Rep program or Knox Raiders Try-Outs

Transfer Player

For: Players who have played VJBL with another club during the 2025/26 VJBL season and wish to transfer to Knox Raiders.

• Players must complete our survey before being considered for Raiders Try-Outs.
• Identified players will be invited to register for the Raiders Try-Outs.

Raiders Try-outs

This year, our Raiders Try-Out process will consist of four sessions. Following the first two sessions, we will begin selecting teams where the selection panel is confident a decision can be made.

For some age groups, this may include our 1st and 2nd teams, while for others it may also extend to our 3rd and 4th teams, depending on the readiness of the selection process.

Only current Raiders Players or Players who have been invited can register for Raiders Try-Outs

Try-Out Rules and Details

• Registration is $70, comprising a $20 administration fee and $50 credited towards player fees

• If a player is not selected, the $50 player fee will be refunded.

• The $20 administration fee is non-refundable under any circumstances.

• Players must attend all four try-out sessions. If a player is unable to attend or participate on court, they must provide a medical certificate or suitable supporting documentation.

• Parents and spectators are not permitted to enter the courts during try-outs.

• All players must bring both a light and a dark singlet or t-shirt. A reversible singlet is acceptable, provided it has both light and dark colours. Current Raiders Players should wear their Raiders reversible training singlet
